Wayne McDonald is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Education degree in Education Administration. While there, he completed the U.S. Air Force ROTC program with distinction and was designated an Outstanding Graduate. He retired in the Denver, CO, area after an Air Force career that took him to Europe, Asia and multiple places in the U.S. He retired with the rank of Colonel. He is the recipient of multiple medals including the Legion of Merit. He has worked for Littleton Public Schools, Littleton, CO, and is currently serving as a Senior Volunteer, reading animal poems to elementary students. He also works for the First Tee Colorado Mountains and for the South Suburban Parks and Recreation District. Once a week or so, he reaffirms his status as a certified duffer at the South Suburban Golf Course in Centennial.
