Somehow I have kept journals going for most of my life. At times, visual journals have been the most natural way to reflect my thoughts. Currently, I have been creating quick self portraits each morning.
I was born in Philadelphia, Pa., and moved to Colorado with my family when I was 16 years old.
Colorado blue sky and mountains have often been an inspiration for me to get out paints and pastels.
My college degree is in Fine Art. I received a B.F.A from University of Denver in 1975, with emphasis in painting.
My greatest love is creating with young children.
As my three children were growing up, we spent many hours painting and drawing together.
As a preschool teacher for several years, the joy of creating with young ones has always been a delight and inspiration.
Such delight continues and stretches my imagination beyond the sky …
