When I was honored placement in Boomers ’23, I also was gifted the enjoyment of 17 other writers, all, with a new story, a new insight, a different eye, ear and voice and a bigger world. I am proud to have The Blizzard of ’78 selected as the first-place winner and grateful to join this group of writers. What a pleasure to read through each of the well crafted stories in “Stories Through the Ages Baby Boomers Plus 2021”! All fifteen selected authors have something interesting to share, each quite different from the next, yet all highly relatable. I wondered if I related to the stories because I am a Boomer, but I gave a copy to my twenty-six year old nephew who found it “really cool.” High praise from him, and proof that these stories have something to offer everyone. Of course, I was especially pleased to have my own story included, and grateful for being selected.

I was very impressed with how quickly the Living Springs Publishing Team put the ‘Stories Through the Ages Baby Boomers Plus 2020’ together and how impressive it is in terms of scope and interest. Being included in this publication has given me new confidence in my ability to write a piece appealing to an audience. I encourage all writers of our demographic to enter the 2021 competition and not be daunted by any lack of experience because what is most important is the quality of your story. Give it a go!
